We recommend:
Regular Cleaning: After each use! at least daily..., wipe down your scissors with a clean, soft cloth. This removes hair, product residue, and moisture that can lead to corrosion.
Oil Maintenance: Keep your scissor joint lubricated by applying scissor oil to the pivot area. This ensures smooth movement and prevents unnecessary friction. Hatchet Scissor oil is organic non petroleum based that is soft and protecting. We do not recommend the use of clipper or machine oils that are petroleum based mineral oils.
Adjust Tension: Maintain scissor tension by regularly adjusting the screw. Smooth movement is key to precise cuts. What is the right tension?
Storage: Keep the kids safe...in a case preferably to prevent damage and dust accumulation.
Manufacture Sharpening: While all Hatchet Collections are designed for durability, periodic professional sharpening service keeps them performing at their peak. We recommend this by our craftmen at place of Manufacture.
