How it all
started
Hatchet is a scissor brand established 2014 in Brisbane,
Australia.
BRISBANE - JAPAN - BRISBANE
It started with a aesthetic.
In 2014, friends Francis and Gerard travelled to Japan. They were drawn to the craftspeople — old hands, old skills, making beautiful things.
Why not a stylist's tool? That was the beginning.
THE CONCEPT
A tribute to stylists.
The best stylists build something recognisably their own. It shows in how they work. It shows in what they hold.
Each Hatchet is made for them.
We craft our scissors with the very best steels to ensure performance and feel for a career.
OUR PRODUCTS
Japanese steel. Nothing else.
Twelve years of refinement.
Not for everyone. That's the point.
